bio

Aaron Morrison (b. 2001) is a composer, performer, and music enthusiast.

He recently graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in music composition, studying with Nancy Galbraith. Born in New City, NY, and raised in Langhorne, PA and Mt. Washington, MD, he has been surrounded by music his whole life, picking up viola first in elementary school, then clarinet and eventually piano.  Growing up, he played in multiple bands and wrote the soundtracks to a number of homemade short films. His music is influenced by jazz pianists, minimalist composers, and video game soundtracks, among countless others, and he is especially interested in writing music for, and in combination with, visual media.
